_{A small, trembling hand scrawled barely legible words across the stained paper, the male’s eyes devoid of all emotion — pain or otherwise.  The Phantomhive Earl took a deep breath in a futile attempt to stabilize himself, deciding to just get the rest of this over with.  It was not as though he could have another chance.}

     I do not know how I managed to get lost or why you could not find me.  Unfortunately I seem to have been away from home for far too long — without you, I am unable to find much food or water and it seems that I can only last a short time.  
     I suppose this was done intentionally.  I imagine that you were planning this from the start.  I would not expect much else from you.  You are…a demon, after all.  A disgusting demon.  In the end you have finally shown your true nature to me as you left me out here to rust.  
     I imagine as well that you will be returning to your home, wherever that happens to be, after all is said and done.  I do not expect you to tell the servants the news of my death; you seem to be the type to leave them confused and alone.  If you do, however, decide to inform them — do let them know that I cared about them.  The manor is theirs, as well as all of my belongings.  They are to take good care of it and continue their duties…they are to continue their lives as if I never left them.  
     As for you — I should have expected this of you.  I never should have trusted you.
